Polperro is a largely unspoilt picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall, near to Looe.

Unlike other popular villages in Cornwall, Polperro is relatively free of traffic. Tourist vehicles are not allowed in the village and must use the large car park to the north of Polperro. This means you can safely wander and discover the numerous shops selling locally made foods and goods in peace.

Artists have gathered in Polperro for hundreds of years due to its beauty. Traditional white painted fisherman’s cottages line the narrow cobbled streets, surrounding the harbour, providing the perfect vista. Dotted around the village you’ll find a number of galleries selling work by many local artists.

Once you’ve finished exploring, there are lots of places to quench your thirst and appetite. Enjoy a traditional Cornish pasty, or head to one of the villages fantastic cafes, restaurants or pubs to try the local catch of the day.
