Kingsand Beach

Kingsand Beach

Kingsand Beach is located on the southeast coast of Cornwall and faces eastwards looking across Plymouth Sound towards the city of Plymouth.

Similar to its neighboring beach Cawsand, Kingsand Beach is made up mostly of sand and shingle with lots of rock pools to explore.

One of the great things about Kingsand is that it’s relatively easy to get there. Firstly you can drive to the beach as the road access is fairly good.

Secondly, you can jump on the Cawsand ferry which lands directly on Cawsand beach. With regular services from Plymouth during high season, it’s an easy way to get around.

Finally, you can catch the Cremyll ferry from Plymouth to Mount Edgcumbe and then take a stroll around the southwest coastal path which takes in some beautiful sights along the way.
